Recent Painting Awards

These 3 paintings all received awards at the Tri-State Art Show recently and hung for a month at the Panhandle Art Center (PAC). Janet's Red Roses placed 3rd in water-color, the Jonquils placed 2nd in water-color, and the still-life in Oils got a honorable mention. I have a wall of paintings there all the time, and change out the paintings every 3 months. When you are a member, and display your paintings, you also have to "sit" the gallery one day out of every month. This gives you a chance to meet other artists who are there, and show visitors through the gallery. We have photographers who display there, and jewelry displays as well as pottery, but it is mainly paintings. There will be a sculpture garden outside in the future. Hopefully, Amarillo is becoming an artist's colony, much like Taos.
